How can you say stop?

Why can’t some people not realise that when you say stop – it meant STOP!?!

I just don’t know why some people would think that stop can be bent. A stop could mean – proceed but with caution or at times, it’s a yes.

Its meaning is only understood when there’s a physical action involved like maybe have a hand set out to his direction… or look them in the eye and repeat the words over and over?

It’s crazy.

I think for some people STOP equates to a negotiation. Something that can be compromised… or discussed when really stop means STOP.
